Accessibility. A site that works for everyone.
What we have done to make forbuilders.in accessible, how we test it, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Our aim
We want forbuilders.in to work for everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, in line with India’s Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
How we test
Last tested: 17 October 2026. Every page is checked in both themes at desktop, tablet and phone widths with the axe accessibility engine, an HTML validator, keyboard-only use and a colour-contrast script.
What we have done
- Every page has a skip link, clear headings and landmarks.
- Menus, tabs and dropdowns work with a keyboard; Escape closes them.
- Text and controls pass colour-contrast checks in both light and dark themes.
- Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion, and a Pause motion button in the footer stops it on any device.
- Screenshots of the app have text descriptions.
- Tap targets are large enough to use on a phone.
- Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
Known limits
The moving background and the 3D logo are decorative and carry no information. This statement covers this website; the forbuilders app has its own accessibility work in progress.
